Flair bartending Competitions

Competitors from all over the world travel to Vegas every year to compete in one of my favorite Competitions, The Legends Of Bartending. There are many ways of giving many customers the satisfaction that they want. Your customers want to be treated well and get good service. Flair bartending competitions these days are all over the world, with many incredible bartenders with amazing talent.

Each year the FBA has a Pro Tour where the bartender with the most points from all of the events wins the title as champion. Working flair is performed while in the process of making a cocktail or drink. The man generally credited with being the worlds first flair bartender was Jerry Thomas. Exhibition flair usually requires some preparation by setting the bottles up with an ounce or two of liquid in them.

Many learn how to bartend online these days as the information is everywhere and there is licensed and accredited schools. Flairing is loosely definable as a trick or manipulation performed with the equipment or ingredients in the course of making a drink. A lot of the moves you can see in a competition probably won’t be seen at the local bar on a busy weekend. The Flair Bartenders Association keeps up people up to date and current with all of the competition and competition winners around the world.

Uaually the biggest and flashiest of tricks are performed during competitions. When practising for a competition, you want to make it as close to the real thing as possible. Competition bartending may never make it into the Olympics, but it’s quickly become a world wide sporting event. The Flair Bartenders Association was created in 1997.

Get inspiration for new moves and combinations by attending contests and training, and also studying other performance arts like juggling. Customers enjoy watching the tricks and tell others.
